Evelyn Mokwa's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Mokwa, age 87, of Wild Rose, Wisconsin , passed away Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha. Evelyn was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 19, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Mary (Tomaszewski) Nadolinski. On Aug 11, 1951, she married Harold Mokwa in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Aug 10, 2006. Prior to her marriage Evelyn was the head of the stenographic pool at MATC. In 1960 Harold and Evelyn moved to Wild Rose where she was a wonderful housewife and mother. She volunteered for numerous charities including The Red Cross. Evelyn was a supporter of the Wild Rose Library, Wild Rose Memorial Hospital and Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, traveling and in later years she enjoyed spending time with her lifelong companion, Harold. She is survived by a Daughter: Mary (Don) Jones, Pewaukee, WI; Son: James (LouAnn) Mokwa, Waupaca, WI; Grandchildren: Nick & Kaitlyn Jones, Pewaukee, WI; Mali Schneiter, Waupaca, WI; Sisters: Alice Panek, Greenfield; Emily Preste, Milwaukee. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wautoma at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5th, 2007. Visitation will be held on Monday 9:30 - 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wautoma. Entombment service will be in the St. Adalbert Cemetery Chapel in Milwaukee on Tuesday February 6th at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation starting at 10:30 A.M.
