Evelyn R. O'Brien's Obituary
Evelyn O’Brien, age 90, of Wild Rose, joined her Savior on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in Bad Axe, Michigan. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Emily (Wendt) Behling. Evelyn married Robert O’Brien on June 28, 1952 in Milwaukee. They had two children, James and Susan. She was a secretary at Nordberg foundry for many years until her retirement which was short lived as she then worked for 7 years as an aid with the Milwaukee public schools. She loved her dear Green Bay Packers and never missed a game. Evelyn kept in touch with friends and family with many letters and cards for birthdays and anniversaries. An avid reader, Evelyn always had a book or two she was reading. She especially loved building puzzles and family and friends. Evelyn loved seeing her grandkids and great grandkids and was always reminding them to root for the Packers. While her family rejoices, she is in heaven, she will be dearly missed.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Susan (James) Sting, Pigeon, MI; Grandchildren: Brad (Kristin) Baranowski, Waterford, WI; Katie Coudron, Milwaukee, WI; Michael O’Brien, Montello, WI; Deborah (John) Boyer, Easton, PA; Emily (Alex) Buetow, Wheeling, IL; Daniel (Rachel) Sting, Onalaska, WI; Andrew (Lindsay) Sting, Pigeon MI; 13 great grandchildren; Sister: Janet O’Brien; and brother-in-law, Bob Miszewski. Evelyn leaves behind many dear friends including Helena Roerdink of Eagle River, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Robert; son, James O’Brien; her brother, Robert Behling; sister, Toni Miszewski, her sister-in-law Joanne Behling, and brother-in-law Keith O’Brien.
A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11 am. A visitation will be held from 10:00- 11:00 am. at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose. The Reverend Steven Tews of Peace Lutheran Church, Wautoma will be officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Wild Rose. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
