Evelyn Steinke's Obituary
Evelyn H. Steinke, age 97, of Waupaca, WI formally of Wild Rose passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. Evelyn was born in Wild Rose on June 16, 1909, the daughter of the late Griffith and Winifred (Lamphear) Davis. On May 29, 1929 Evelyn married Erwin C. Steinke in Wautoma and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1981. She is a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wild Rose. Evelyn is survived by her son: Clifford Steinke of Almond, WI; her daughters: Geraldine Morgan of Weyauwega, Phyllis Wied of Tucson, AZ and Lynn (Allen) Abrahamson of Waupaca; 12 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren survive along with a brother: Gerald Davies of Montana and a sister: Vivian Osinski of Waupaca. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was also preceded in death by a brother, Donovan, a daughter in law, Joyce Steinke, two sons in law, LaVern Morgan and Robert Wied and two great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 20 at 1 PM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wild Rose with Reverend Dale Bahls, officiating. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Town of Belmont, Wisconsin. Visitation will be on Monday eve from 5 to 8 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on Tuesday from 12 Noon until the time of services at the church. A Memorial Fund has been established in Evelyn's name.
