Evelyn Waite's Obituary
Evelyn G. Waite Evelyn Gertrude Waite, 96, formerly of Waukesha and Exeland, WI, was called to eternal life on December 31, 2005 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
Evelyn was born of German descent on October 22, 1909, in West Bend, WI, the daughter of John and Emma (nee Engmann) Hetzel. Evelyn married Earl Waite on January 26, 1946. Earl preceded her in death on May 28, 2003, after 57 years of marriage. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her daughters, Michaelene (Robert) Knoebel, Mary (Daniel) Foley, both of Waukesha, Grandchildren Michael Knoebel of Okauchee, Roberta (Aaron) Hunter of Waukesha, Melissa Foley of Milwaukee and Matthew Foley of Waukesha, and Great grandchildren Carlea and Cameron Hunter. One Brother Johnnie Hetzel, one sister Rosemary (Marcel) Starr, Sister-in-Law Viola (Joe) Waite, nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three sisters. Evelyn graduated from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in 1930. In 1944 Evelyn was Honorably Discharged after serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. She was a homemaker residing in Montana and Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home, 120 E. Fritz Ave., in Ladysmith, WI, with Mr. Aaron Hunter, officiating. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Exeland, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Evelyn will be remembered for her kindness and compassion towards others in need, her devote faith, and her love of family. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI, and the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home of Ladysmith, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
