Age 89 – died on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose, WI. She was born on December 1, 1921 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Russell and Edith (Galbraith) Myers. She married Allen C. Hartwig on September 4, 1943 in Omaha, NE. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2011.
Evelynn is survived by her sons; Allen (Diane) Hartwig, Jr. of Clintonville, WI, and Gary Hartwig of Ripon, WI, grandchildren; Jo Ellen Hartwig, Amanda Hartwig, and Andrew Hartwig (Alicia Meyer), all of Clintonville, WI, and great grandchildren; Devlin Hartwig and Aiden Hartwig. She is further survived by a sister; Gwen Holz of Florida, a brother; Royce (Barbara) Myers of Racine, WI, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers.
A memorial service will be held at the Evergreen Center, N7101 14th Court, Almond, WI on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 10:30 AM, with Pastors Douglas Detert and Alonzo Coiley, officiating. A visitation will be held at the Evergreen Center on Saturday, one hour prior to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Evergreen Center – Almond, WI in memory of Evelynn M. Hartwig. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
