F. Joseph Smith's Obituary
F. Joseph “Joe” Smith 54, of Wild Rose, WI died quietly in his sleep February 2nd, 2012. Born February 9, 1957 to Francis Earl Smith and Vivian (Wardinsky) Smith, in Ashland WI. He was a long time resident of Wild Rose and Employee of Copps, Wautoma for the past 18 years. As Political Science Major from U.W Stevens Point, he was well known for his passion for politics and an outspoken supporter of the democratic party. He was an adamant Packer Fan with a profound recollection of each & every game and all the facts & statistics! He enjoyed old movies, old sitcoms, Beatles Music and Fantasy Football. On February 9th, 1991 he married Georgia Kirwan at St Joseph’s Catholic Church and in 1994 his daughter Katherine Josephine was born. “Katie Jo” was his greatest joy and there was never a prouder or better father. She was his “everything”. He was preceded in death by his father “Fran”, his lifetime ‘Hero’ who instilled in him his strong sense of loyalty and work ethic and his “mom” Vivian who gave him his great gift of Unconditional Love! He is survived by his Daughter, Katie Jo Smith (Wild Rose) and her mother, Georgia (Wild Rose). His three step-sons: Jerry (Wautoma); Andy / Billie Jo (Wild Rose) and Mike / Sara (Wautoma) and the “grandbabies” Brayde
n, Ozzy & Olive. His sister, Tami Tetting (Waldo) and her three sons Josh, Jake & Jordon. He is further survived by his Grandmother Wardinsky (Park Falls, WI) and many aunts, uncles & cousins. And an extraordinary amount of friends, co-workers & acquaintances - everyone important to him. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Joe’s life will be held February 15th, 2012 at the Lion’s Building, Wild Rose from 7pm to 9pm.
