Faye Marie Mathwick's Obituary
Faye Marie Mathwick, age 67, of Waupaca, WI died peacefully Tuesday, December 14, 2022, while in hospice care at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville, WI. Faye was born March 4,1955 to Reuben and Olga (Block) Mathwich. She lived most of her life in Waupaca and graduated from Waupaca High School. She attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. Faye worked at both Bethany and Riverside Nursing Homes in Waupaca.
Survivors include sisters, Iva Richards, Waukesha WI and Carol Kleinschmidt, Sun City West, AZ; brother Dale (Lila Ann) Mathwich, Madison, WI. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers in law Don Richards and Jim Kleinschmidt.
Faye loved the outdoors and all manner of animals. Earlier in life she enjoyed fishing with her dad and ice skating. She won several medals in the Special Olympics and she enjoyed traveling with her siblings. Faye's strong faith in a loving God sustained her through the challenges of her life. Her persistent hopefulness will be remembered by her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held for Faye at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1120 Evans St. Waupaca, WI 54981 at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 with Rev. Ronald Siemers officiating. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Wausau, WI. Friends may call on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 10:30 AM until the time of services at the church.
