Ferne Held-Miller's Obituary
Ferne Held-Miller, age 84, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center. Ferne was born in Unity, WI on November 10, 1924, the daughter of the late Earnst and Mary (Lohse) Regall. She worked for many years at Wausau Hospital. On July 19, 1941, Ferne married Arthur E. Held in Athens, WI and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1996. She later married Wilber Miller. She is a member of First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca. Ferne is survived by her husband: Wilber Miller, Waupaca, WI; her children: Gerald (Janice) Held, Mosinee, WI; Diane (Robert) Wunsch, Mosinee, WI; Phyllis (Terry) Backens, Rockford, IL and Allan (Kathy) Held, Mesa, AZ; her ten grandchildren: Jeff (Sue) Held; Jana (Rick Best) Held; Lisa (Carrol Jr.) Pittsley; Michelle (John) Suchomski; Justin (Shelley) Backens; Teara (Jason) Rhode; Dallas & Austin Held, Jason Bandy and Terry Weaver; her 8 great grandchildren: Josh, Jayden & Gavin Held; Jackson Best; Alesha Pittsley; Jessica Suchomski; Seara Ferne Backens; Madigan Rhode. Also surviving are 4 sisters, Onie Frey, Dolly Reigal, Freida Brownlow, Hazel Regal ; 2 brothers, Edward & Bennie Regal and a brother in law, Elmer (Joann) Held. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 12 Noon at First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca with Reverend Jason Rhode, officiating. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of services at First Assembly of God Church.
