Florence Buchholz's Obituary
Florence Buchholz, age 95 of Alder, Montana, formally of Amherst passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2006 at Ruby Valley Hospital in Sheridan, Montana. Florence was born near Almond, WI to Adolf & Augusta (Benke) Boelter. She was raised & attended school in Almond. She later helped on her family farm before marrying Edward Buchholz on March 16, 1933 in Almond. They lived in Weyauwega before purchasing a farm near Amherst. After retiring, they moved into Amherst. Florence moved to Alder, Montana in 2002 to be near her son. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing Canasta, gardening and spinning wool to make socks and gloves. Florence was also an active member of the women's club of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She is survived by her sons, Ralph Buchholz of Alder, MT, Otto (Letty) Buchholz of Albuquerque, NM, David Buchholz of Phoenix, AZ and Lloyd Buchholz of Edgar, WI. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Leora Bakke and Alice Hackney, two brothers and three sisters. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday March 2 at 1 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst with Rev. Chris Schwanz, officiating. Burial will be in Lower Amherst Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst.
