Florence H. Schindler's Obituary
Florence H. Schindler, age 86, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away Friday, April 24th, 2009 in Oshkosh, WI. She was born in Neenah, WI on July 6, 1922, the daughter of Earl and Helen (Hebert) Cole. Florence married Jack J. Schindler on April 25, 1947 in Oshkosh, WI. They enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. Florence grew up in Neenah and enjoyed the company of several important high school friends. She was affectionately known to them as PeeWee. Florence and Jack were blessed with two daughters during the 20 years they lived on River Drive in Appleton, WI. Watching their girls grow and her flowerbeds blossom gave her great joy. Greater yet, was the joy she felt when her granddaughter was born. She and Jennie spent hours playing in the sand and water of Big Hills Lake in Wild Rose. In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by a Daughter and Son in law: Janet and Gary Bradley, Wild Rose, WI; a Daughter and Son in law: Elizabeth and Richard Sorenson, West Bend, WI. Granddaughter: Jennifer (fiancé Jason Adkins) Sorenson, Chicago, IL. Step-Granddaughters: Shelly (Geoff) Williams, New London, WI; Holly (Troy) Hanson, Weyauwega, WI. Brothers: Leon Cole, King, WI; LeRoy (Chris) Cole, Appleton, WI. Sister: Helen Marie Cole, W. Hyattsville, MD. Brother in Law: C. Robert Schindler, Appleton, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her Parents; two Brothers: Earl Bud Cole and Wayne Cole; two Sisters: Edna Birling and Phyllis Drossart; and a Step-Grandson, Tyler Bradley. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose, with Pastor Alyson Janke officiating. Interment will be in Pine River Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 1PM until the time of the service. A memorial will be established in Florence's name.
