FRANCES E. SHULFER
STEVENS POINT, WI (Formerly of Township of Stockton) Age 85 – died on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, WI. She was born on February 10, 1922 in the Township of Stockton, Portage County, WI, the daughter of Paul and Johanna (Glodowski) Shulfer. Frances had been a resident of the Stevens Point Care Center for the last five years. Frances is survived by eighteen nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Harold, Michael, and Clarance Shulfer, and a sister: Eleanor Trzebiatowski. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Fancher, and had been active with the Altar Rosary Society. She had been a homemaker and worked on the family farm in the Township of Stockton. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Fancher on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM, with Father Theodore Lewandowski, celebrant. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and can be directed to the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel C.C.D. program in memory of Frances Shulfer. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
