Franklin E. Christopherson's Obituary
Franklin E. Christopherson, Sr, age 74, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI formerly of Portage, WI passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Theda Care Medical Center-Waupaca. Frank was born in Portage, WI on January 30, 1943, the son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Hudy) Christopherson. On December 18, 1970, Frank married Ellen Dahl in Rockford, IL. He served in the U.S. Air Force and had worked for many years in cleaning services around Portage. Frank is survived by his wife: Ellen Christopherson, Waupaca; his children: Frank (Brenda) Christopherson Jr., Montello, WI and Nissa (Ned) Lind, Oxford, WI; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are many brothers & sisters and their families. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. The Memorial Service will be on Friday, November 24 at 1:30 PM at the Wisconsin Veterans Home-Main Chapel, King with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday afternoon from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Main Chapel. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
