Frieda E. Bobbe's Obituary
Frieda E. Bobbe, age 98, of Amherst, WI, went on her golden paved road to Heaven on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at Iola Living Assistance. She was born in Town of Buena Vista, Portage County, WI on October 11, 1919, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Selma(Schmidt) Boelter.
She married Myron E. Bobbe on June 23, 1943 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst. Together they farmed in the Town of Amherst, where they raised their three children. Myron preceded her in death on June 27, 2002. Most of Frieda's early years were dedicated to raising her children, tending to her garden and helping out on the family farm. Frieda worked for many years at the dress shop in Amherst. She also worked for 25 years for Krogwold Potato Plant. She will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, and the best grandma. Her children will cherish their memories of a mother who taught them to love God, their church and their families. She also had plenty of good food on the table. Frieda enjoyed her word search books, playing cards, going to the casino, watching the Packers and the Brewers. Most of all, spending time with her family. For all those who knew Frieda, a loss will be felt. We all knew that the health issues she faced, didn't allow her to go on and enjoy life as she once knew it. We know she is at Eternal Peace. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Iola Living Assistance and Hospice. She was loved and cared for by the best.
Survivors include her Children: LaVon (Ron) Gruna, Stevens Point, WI; William Bobbe, Amherst, WI; Wayne (Jeanie) Bobbe, Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Grandchildren: Scott (Kathy) Gruna, Polonia, WI; Jodi (Tom) Phillippi, Waukesha, WI; Amanda (Fiancé-Kevin) Bobbe, Stevens Point, WI; Great Grandchildren: Morgan & Tyler Gruna; Jenelle & Lee Phillippi; Sister: Alta Sannes, Iola, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Myron, two brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst at 11 AM on Friday, December 22nd, 2017, with Rev. Don Johnson, officiating. Interment will be in the Bickel Cemetery, Town Amherst. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Amherst.
Our Beloved Mother
She was like no other
Because she was Our Mother!
She took care of us in sickness
tolerated our wickedness
joined us in our joyfulness
encouraged our playfulness
enjoyed our rare peacefulness
understood our restlessness
and taught us goodness
Because she was OUR Mother
She was like no other!
We will always love you dearly,
Beloved Mother
