FRIEDA W. DAMRAU
WHITING, WI (FORMERLY OF AMHERST, WI) Age 95 – died on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Stevens Point Care Center in Whiting, WI. She was born on June 30, 1911 in the Township of Lanark, Portage County, WI, a daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Teschner) Scheider. She married Albert Damrau on June 18, 1930 in Amherst, WI. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2001. Frieda is survived by three sons: Orville (Edwina) Damrau of Plover, WI, Wayne (Germaine) Damrau of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Laverne (Doris) Damrau of Amherst, WI, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and two sisters: Lillian Boelter of Wausau, WI, and Erna Wolding of Eden Prairie, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband: Albert, her parents, a granddaughter: Donna, a brother: Carl, and a sister: Ruth. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Amherst, WI, and had been active with the Ladies Aide group for many years. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amherst, with Reverend Chris Schwanz, officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. Friends may call at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI on Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and at the church on Tuesday, one hour prior to the time of the funeral service. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
