Garry P. Van De Voort's Obituary
Garry P. Van De Voort age 75 passed away December 5th, 2020 @ King Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born January 5th, 1945 in Phillips, WI. Son of late Peter and Anne Van De Voort of Kennan, WI.
Garry was a dairy farmer and cheesemaker and an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage, chess, checkers, or cards with family and friends.
Garry served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a daughter Carrie Van De Voort of Little Canada, MN., and four sons, Wayne Van De Voort of Phillips, WI., Wes Van De Voort of Roy, WA., Wade Van De Voort of Kennan, WI., and Wyatt Van De Voort of Phillips, WI. Two sisters, Barbara (Dave) Strahler of Reedsburg, WI., and Marsha (Jon) Lebese of Greenfield, WI. Two brothers, Brian (Georgia) Van De Voort of Ladysmith, WI., and Dale (Darlene) Van De Voort of Catawba, WI., two grandsons, Kody Van De Voort of Roy, WA., and Dekoda Van De Voort of Idaho. Former wife Marilyn Van De Voort of Phillips, WI., and many cousins and other family and friends.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Anne Van De Voort and a brother Gregory Van De Voort.
A Funeral Memorial Mass will be Saturday December 26th, 2020 @11:30AM at St. Paul catholic church in Catawba, WI. Friends may offer condolences Saturday from 10:30 AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be at the Kennan Cemetery, Kennan, WI.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Apostle building fund, W9485 Hwy 8, Catawba, WI., 54516.
Father Madanu Lourdu Raju will officiate the service. Due to COVID 19 family requests that a mask be worn and to keep social distance. Heindl Funeral Home is assisting Family with arrangements.
