Gary N. Kadow's Obituary
Gary "Spicy Man" Kadow, 70, of Amherst, Wisconsin passed away on May 3, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love.
Gary worked hard at Klement Sausage, Miller Brewery, and the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works. He always said "Somebody has to be the supervisor" so after retirement he spent his later years as the elected Town of Amherst Supervisor.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Gary. He loved growing shiitaki mushrooms (a real "fun-gi"), cooking, raising chickens, gardening, bowling, hunting, and spending time (and money) at the casino. He was a master at telling a good story, casting a line on Pine Lake and raising a glass of Jack. Gary loved to cheer for his favorite sports teams, the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers and spending time with family and friends.
He was survived by his wife, Christine of 49 years, his son, Elliot (Mandy) Kadow, daughter Becky (Bob) Ozelie, grandchildren Addison and Owen, his beloved dog, Lucy and numerous other family and friends.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, WI at 11 AM on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. Interment will be at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Amherst. Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
