Gary E. Schwersinke's Obituary
Gary E. Schwersinke, age 78, formerly of Berlin, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.
He was born on April 5, 1944, son of Elmer and Helen (Schroeder) Schwersinke. On May 17, 1974, he married Cora Boe at Fairburn Lutheran Church in Berlin, WI and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage.
Gary is a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Gary was a dairy farmer in the Weyauwega area for many years until working at the Marion Plywood Corporation. He was a past president of the Marion Lions Club and drove school bus throughout the area. Gary enjoyed deer hunting, bowling and watching the Brewers.
Gary is survived by his wife Cora Schwersinke of King, WI; one sister Joan Testin and one brother Darrell (Wendy) Schwersinke; all of Berlin, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gary was preceded in death by one son, Steven Allen Schwersinke.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Main Chapel at WI Veterans Home in King, WI, where full military honors will be performed.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up at a later date.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at WI Veterans Home in King, WI for their exceptional care that they gave Gary during his stay.
