I was very saddened to hear of Gene's passing. We've known each other for about 35 years. We were very friendly competetors, selling printing supplies and equipment. I ran into him several times in Waupaca at Simpson's and at Wheelhouse. The Simpsons are my inlaws. Ginny is my wife Bonnie,s sister. I enjoyed running into him.
So sad to hear of the passing of Gene. We purchased many supplies and equipment from Gene back in the 1970's here at The Marion Advertiser. Gene was instrumental in helping us convert from hot metal to offset printing. I can only wonder what he thought of today's digital technology. I am honored to have known him. God Bless you Gene, until we meet again.
