George Edgren's Obituary
George Edgren passed away peacefully on Thursday June 25, 2015. George was born on May 4, 1928 the son of George and Martha (Zechel) Edgren Sr. in Goodman, WI. He was the 3rd oldest of 11 children. George married Irene Chase on June 6, 1953 at the Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church. They had 6 children. George had his own business “Edgren Construction” for many years and was active during the years as Wild Rose school board president, Springwater Town board member, Mt. Morris Church board and board chairman of Wild Rose Fire Department.
George had his pilot license and enjoyed flying small aircraft. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
George is survived by his wife Irene of Wild Rose, WI; daughters Marjorie Baxter of Wild Rose, WI and Georgene Erickson of Wild Rose, WI; sons George (Karen) Edgren III of Neenah, WI, Thomas (Leigh) Edgren of Waupaca, WI and Mark (Faith) Edgren of Wild Rose, WI; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents George and Martha; his son Philip Edgren; son-in-law Neil Baxter; grandson Jeshua Erickson, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at the Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church at 12 Noon. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 12 Noon at the Mt. Morris Holden Lutheran Church. A luncheon will be served afterwards.
