George M. Jantz's Obituary
George M. Jantz passed away on Saturday, May 9th (his birthday) at the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. He was living at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. George was born in a country store in West Rosendale, WI to Lucas and Hazel (Griese) Jantz. He graduated from Ripon High School in 1949. George married Lois Freiheit at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on December 28, 1952. He was in the National Guard for two years and the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. After his time in the service, he was a dental salesman for 30 years and after retiring he drove medical van for Nichols.
George is survived by his wife, Lois Jantz, of Princeton, WI; two daughters, Cynthia (John) Jachthuber of Princeton, WI and Kristine (Chuck) Twardowski of Herod, IL; one son, David (Marilyn) Jantz of Oshkosh, WI; 8 Grandchildren; and 8 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucas and Hazel Jantz, and one brother and sister-in-law, Neil (Elayne) Jantz.
A Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Princeton, WI. Pastor Daniel Heiderich will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
