George Lutz's Obituary
George A. Lutz, age 91, a resident of Stevens Point Care Center formally of Amherst passed away Sunday, April 23, 2006 at St. Michael's Hospital. Mr. Lutz was born in Almond, WI on September 24, 1914 the son of the late Albert & Ida (Kleist) Lutz. On October 19, 1946 he married Leona Damrau at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst. She preceded him in death on June 1, 1997. George is a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amherst. He worked for Preway Co. in Wisconsin Rapids from 1948 until retiring in 1979. George enjoyed playing cards, bingo, playing pool and especially spending time with his great grandchildren.
George is survived by his daughters: Lona (Donald) Gullikson of Iola, WI and LaVon (Norman) Fletcher of Plover, WI; Five grandchildren: Karen(fiancé, Tim Moore) Gullikson, Michele Gullikson, Kevin (Wendy)Fletcher, Jason (Ann) Fletcher and Brenda Fletcher. Also surviving are four Great Grandchildren: Meghan, Gabriel, Rachel and Kaila and a sister: Mabel Tiarks of Milwaukee, WI and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother - Harold Lutz. Funeral service will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amherst at 11 AM on Friday, April 28 with Rev. Chris Schwanz, officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home.
