George F. Poblocki's Obituary
George F. Poblocki, age 77, of Green Bay, WI, formerly of Amherst, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay. He was born June 27, 1945 in Chicago, IL; son of George and Angeline (Kryzankowski) Poblocki. George was an only child. He graduated from St. Patrick High School in Chicago in 1963.
George was married to the late Christina (Smaha) Neuman in 1963 and they had four children together. They later divorced. On June 8, 1975 he married Cathleen “Cathy” Fagocki and together they had one child before her passing on December 3, 1997. Following Cathy’s death, George met Judy Carter and they spent 22 wonderful, loving years together as an old married couple at heart.
He worked for the State of Wisconsin as an elevator inspector until his retirement in 2007. George had many hobbies which included jewelry faceting, fixing up old tools, beading, puzzles, metal detecting and magnet fishing. He just loved puttering around fixing odds and ends. George loved to golf and enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He had a wonderful group of friends that he made from his time living in Green Bay.
George is survived by his loving companion and best friend of 22 years, Judy Carter; his five children, Sandra (Rick) Wodlarski, Craig Poblocki, Cheryl (Jaime) Herrera, Teresa (Wendle) Coulthurst and Jeffery Poblocki; grandchildren, Mike (Cambria Otte) Wodlarski, Chris (Paulette Skinner) Wodlarski, Tianna Herrera, Alex (Jessica) Wodlarski, Nick Wodlarski, Ali (Danny Mak) Herrera, Makaila (Joseph) Soczka, and Chantel Coulthurst; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Wodlarski, Bailee Salazar, Cameron Wodlarski, and Annabelle Wodlarski.
A Memorial Graveside Service for George will be on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Amherst, Wisconsin. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
