Georgia Behnke's Obituary
Georgia J. Behnke, age 61, of Poy Sippi, WI, was called home to be with her daughter, Tina Hope, her mother and father to enjoy eternal happiness on Friday, February 17th, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family. Georgia was born in Monico, WI on January 21, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Edith Masten. On March 31, 1962, she married Sheldon Behnke at Grace Lutheran Church of Oshkosh. She was a member of Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church Poy Sippi, WI. Georgia was a homemaker and most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed caring for others, especially children. Her hobbies were cake decorating, fishing and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: Sheldon Behnke, Poy Sippi, WI; three daughters: Brenda Al-Ghetta, Berlin, WI; Suzie (Danny) Hempel, Medina, WI; Rochelle (Steve) Michaels, Poy Sippi, WI; one son: William (Tory) Behnke, Spring Lake, WI; and seven grandchildren: Amanda, Buddy, Shane, Kali, Emelie, Brielle and Scott. Georgia is also survived by five sisters, two brothers, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter - Tina Hope, two sisters - Virginia Hanneman and Faye Masten and a brother - Richard Masten. The Memorial Service will be held at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church, Poy Sippi, WI at 4 PM on Sunday, February 19, with Reverend Frederick L. Mueller officiating. Memorial Visitation will be Sunday from 3 - 4 PM at the church.
