Gerald C. Harder's Obituary
Gerald C. Harder, age 93, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 surrounded by his family at Bethany Home. Gerald was born in Chicago, IL on August 1, 1920, the son of the late Harold and Martha Harder. On November 16, 1947, Gerald married Frances Christian in Dubuque, Iowa and she preceded him in death on January 22, 2009. He worked for many years at the Waupaca Foundry. He is a member of Shepherd of the Lakes Church and served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his children: Carl (Sheryl) Harder, Redlands, CA; Rodney Harder, Waupaca and Sandra Harder, New London; his grandchildren: Michelle (Sauroman) Bowman; Laura Harder; Kevin Harder; Megan (Brad) Darvin; Samantha Harder; Derek Harder; Brittney Harder and Michael Harder and 10 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 13 at 1 PM at Shepherd of the Lakes Church with Reverend Mary Bope, officiating. Military Graveside Services will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the church. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
