I remember a time when I was very young and wanted desperately to spend the night at Linda and Jerry’s house. When it came time for bed I tried really hard but I just couldn’t sleep there. I just cried and wanted to go home. It was late because he had to get dressed to do it but he drove me home. He wasn’t mad at me and when he dropped me off he gave me a hug. Jerry could be loud and off collar but he was always a kind man with a gentle soul.
