Gerald Lea's Obituary
Gerald C. Lea, age 89, of Amherst, WI, passed away Monday, March 24th, 2008 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born in the Town of Lanark, Portage County on July 22, 1918, the son of Earl and Jesse (Shidel) Lea. Gerald married Kathryn O'Keefe on June 21, 1941 in the Town of Belmont, Portage County. His joys in life included his love of the outdoors especially time spent fishing and hunting. Gerald also treasured the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Carrie Lea, Stevens Point, WI; Christie (Mike) Pacocha, Waukesha, WI; Cammie (Chuck) McDaniels, Amherst, WI; Scott (Nicole) Lea, Three Lakes, WI; Kevin (Sandy) Krogwold, Amherst, WI; Kyle (Beth) Krogwold, Amherst, WI; Kraig (Amy) Krogwold, Amherst, WI; Jodi (Steve) Fleming, Little Chute, WI; Janeen Lea, Cameron, WI; Robert (Shawn) Lea Jr., Amherst Jct., WI. Step-Grandchildren: Reynold (Tina) Carey, Lafayette, TN; Randall (fiance, Tracey) Carey, Amherst, WI; Robert Carey, Loveland, CO; Twenty-two great grandchildren, and a Brother, Keith Lea, Plover, WI.
Gerald is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Twin Sons, Richard and Daniel; Granddaughter, Lorry Krogwold A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, with Reverend James Scott officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Gerald's name.
