Gerald *Tub* Sweetalla's Obituary
Gerald Tub W. Sweetalla, age 69, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born in Waupaca on March 6, 1937, the son of Claude and Irma (Pomrening) Sweetalla. Gerald was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Marines. He married Joyce Ruth Yonke on May 2, 1964 in Waupaca. Tub had been a truck driver for about 15 years for the former Woody's cheese Company of Waupaca, and also for the Pepsi Company in Waupaca. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Gerald is survived by Wife: Joyce Sweetalla, Waupaca, WI; Daughter: Dawn (Jon) Nett, Waupaca; Sisters: Veloise (Ron) Kuhnke, Appleton, WI; Betty Krenke, Fremont, WI; Brothers: Gary (Madlyn) Sweetalla, Kaukauna, WI; Eugene Spade Sweetalla, Waupaca, WI; Gerald is further survived by: Nephew: David (Janet) Yonke, Weyauwega, WI; Niece: Kathy Klettke and Family, Waupaca and other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Darwin, Delvin, and Claude, Jr., and a sister: Mariette Dineen. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM on Monday, March 27th, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Reverend Dr. Charles Tews officiating. Interment will be in Badger Cemetery, Town of Lanark, Portage County. A visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM on Sunday at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on Monday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. The family would like to acknowledge the care and support given to Tub by Lisa Earll, Dana Dain, Dr. Bauer and the staff at Riverside Medical Center.
