Gerald L. Walker, Sr.
King, WI (formerly of Green Bay, WI)
Age 72 - passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, WI. He was born on April 18, 1940 in Wausau, WI, the son of Lloyd and Elaine (Koch) Walker. He was married to Sharon (Gilsoul) Walker. She preceded him in death.
Gerald is survived by his children: Brenda (Michael) McArdle of DePere, Brian Walker of Ashwaubenon, Brad Walker of Green Bay, and Gerald Walker, Jr of Green Bay, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister: Barb (Tom) Watermelon, brothers: Jim (Diane) Walker, Larry Walker, and Frank Walker, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents, a sister: Audrey, and a brother: John.
Gerald had been employed as a machinist with the Lindquist Machine Corp. in Green Bay. He had served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved fishing, hunting, and being up north. Gerald moved to the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in November of 2012.
A Celebration of Gerald’s Life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 3:00 PM - ? at the VFW Duck Creek Post #7534 in Green Bay, WI. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in memory of Gerald L. Walker, Sr. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Wisconsin Veterans Home for the loving care given to Gerald while a resident of the Veterans Home.
