Geraldine L. (Stiebs) Kunach
Stillwater, MN age 86 – died on Friday, May 9, 2008 in Stillwater, MN. She was born on February 1, 1922 in the Township of Royalton, Waupaca County, WI, the daughter of John and Bertha (Hoffman) Stiebs. She married John Kunach on May 15, 1943 in Rhinelander, WI. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2005. Geraldine is survived by a daughter; Patricia Westcott of Menomonee Falls, WI, a daughter-in-law; Susan Kunach of Mahtomedi, MN, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a brother; Lyle Stiebs of Waupaca, and a sister; Leona Johnson of Skokie, IL. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; John, her son; John Kunack, Jr, her parents, 3 brothers; Art, Clarence, and Harold Stiebs, and 3 sisters; Adeline Hervatin, Gertrude Joch, and Irene Winske. Gertrude had been employed as a beautician. She had enjoyed baking and flower gardening. When she could no longer do those things, she cherished every opportunity she had with her family. A funeral service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Baldwin’s Mill near Weyauwega, WI on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Barry Hoerz, officiating. Interment will be in the Baldwin’s Mill Cemetery, Twp. of Royalton, Waupaca County, WI. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12:30 – 1:00 PM. Memorials can be directed to: Lakeview Homecare and Hospice, 5610 Norwich Parkway, Stillwater, MN 55082 in memory of Geraldine L. Kunach. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
