Gertrude Doherty's Obituary
Gertrude M. Doherty, age 105, of Shawano, WI, formerly of Plainfield, passed away Thursday, January 25th, 2007 in Shawano. She was born in Plainfield, WI on July 7, 1901, the daughter of Martin and Cecelia (Brotzki) Pionke. Gertrude married Hugh Doherty in 1929 in Fontana, WI. He preceded her in death in 1975. Gertrude taught at Plainfield Grade School for many years. She is survived by Daughter: Mary Jane (Jerry) Otto, Bonduel, WI; Nine Grandchildren; Seventeen Great Grandchildren, and Three Great Great Grandchildren. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugh; two sons, James and John; two daughters, Teresa Doherty and Margaret Stull; two brothers and three sisters. A Funeral Mass will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Almond, WI with Father Dan Farley officiating. Interment will be in Guardian Angels Cemetery in Almond. Memorial may be made in Gertrude's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
