Glenn "Mickey" Van Ornum's Obituary
Glenn "Mickey" Van Ornum, age 76, of Waupaca passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Crossroads Care Center of Weyauwega. Mickey was born in New London on November 1, 1943, the son of the late Glenn R. and Iona (Mentzel) Van Ornum. On May 10, 1969, Mickey married Jean Maluka in Stevens Point. He was a draftsman for many years, designing many commercial buildings. He was truly a jack of all trades who could design and fix anything. He loved camping and fishing and was loved greatly by his family and many friends. Mickey is survived by his wife: Jean Van Ornum, Waupaca; his children: Velesa (Chris) Gray, Big Falls; Luykas (Carrie) Van Ornum, Waupaca; Velonnie (James) Fritz, Waupaca and Velinda (Chayne) Bonikowske, Waupaca. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and his brother: Jeff Van Ornum. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Visitation for Mickey will be on Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
