Gleno James Straw's Obituary
Gleno James Straw, 81, of Saxeville, passed away surrounded by family at ThedaClark Medical Center - Neenah, on Friday, November 27, 2015. Gleno was born on September 25, 1934, son of the late Russell and Alice (Rait) Straw.
Gleno enjoyed farming and hunting. He was a member of the Saxeville-Springwater Fire Department and the Wild Rose School Board. Gleno was also a member of the Wild Rose Lions Club and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award, of which he was voted by all the Lions in Waushara County.
Gleno is survived by: his wife Peggy; sons: Steve (Jackie), Mike (Kathy), and Jeff (Tori); daughter: Collette (Bob) Ross; 4 step-children; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister: Ellen (Gerald) Merryfield. Gleno is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by: his parents; and sisters-and-brothers-in-law: Beverly (Del) Jansen and Donna (Fay) Wilson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Holly Funeral Home, 630 CTY RD G & H, WILD ROSE. Relatives and friends may visit the family from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Gleno's name.
