Gloria Pauline Lukens' Obituary
Gloria Pauline Lukens (Jackson) passed away in Hospice care in Waupaca at the age of 98 on March 12, 2025. Gloria resided at Bethany of Waupaca for her last years, thank you to all at Bethany for the wonderful care she was given in her later years. The staff and care she was given was outstanding and appreciated. All of us over the years will remember trips to visit Gammo Gloria for homemade Hamburger soup with a slice of delicious homemade bread to go with. Gloria loved to cook and always had the best treats for visits. Gloria loved to crochet and knit, hasn’t been a sock on the market yet that can top the winter socks we were all made. Gloria’s passion for birding is something I am still passionate about today. Even though it could be a potentially dangerous hobby at times for instance my mother (Gloria) slamming on the brakes to get a look at a Snowy Owl that turned out to be a white plastic bag, car behind us didn’t see the humor (LOL).
Gloria is survived by her daughter Judith (George) Westveer and son Brian Lukens; her grandchildren Lee, Tegan, Luke, Kristian, Sonja, Shawn, Melanie, Laura, Dustin, Nicole and Mitch and many great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by parents Claude and Helma Jackson; her four children, Susan, Kathleen (Lee), Michael and Tracy (John).
Gloria will always be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and her love of family. You will always be in our hearts; Brian.
A funeral service and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
