Grace Halverson's Obituary
Grace A. Halverson, age 89, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Sunday, March 13th, 2005 at Bethany Home. Grace was born in Town of Lanark, WI on September 27, 1915, the daughter of Albertus and Irene (Wood) Wied. On February 10, 1934, Grace married Wallace D. Halverson in Waupaca. He preceded her in death June 17, 1981. She worked in Food Service at Wisconsin Veterans Home, King for 23 1/2 years, retiring in 1977. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca. She is survived by Sons: Douglas (Jean) Halverson, White Lake, WI; Tom (Helen) Halverson, Waupaca, WI; Daughter: Crystal (Michael) Budge, Appleton, WI; Seven Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Brenda) Stevens; Julie (Dan) Wickersheim; Michelle (David) Jung; Gretchen Halverson; Steven (Laura) Halverson; Suzanne Halverson (Special Friend, Jerry); Jennifer (Rob) Reimann, Sixteen Great Grandchildren; Brothers: John (Harriet) Wied; Douglas (Shirley) Wied; Robert (Phyllis) Wied; and a Brother-In-Law: Walter Pavelski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wallace, two sons, Richard and Charles Halverson, her brother, Donald Wied, and four sisters, Virginia Hammond, Gwendolyn Batten, Beverly Gagliano, and Carol Pavelski. Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 18 at 1:30 PM at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, WI with Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Scandinavia, Waupaca County, WI. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30 - 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Holly Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Sherry for all she did for mom.
