Grace V. (Thompson) Seefeldt's Obituary
Grace Seefeldt, age 79, passed from this life into eternity to be with her Heavenly Father on November 6, 2009. She was born Grace Goldsmith on June 6, 1930 to Lawrence and Linda (Grosshuesch) Goldsmith in Milwaukee, WI. She was married to Bob Thompson for 28 years and raised 6 children. Her children remember her as a beautiful, persuasive, witty, loving, and compassionate mother who did the best with what God gave her. Others best know her for her love of Spencer Lake - south of Waupaca, WI, where she spent every moment she could and almost every summer of her adult life. On many summertime days, you would find Grace walking the path along the lake - on Sundays in a dress - talking with neighbors as she strolled. It is this place where she had her best memories. It is under the leaning birch trees on the sandy south shore of this beautiful spring-fed lake where she taught her six children to swim, to give to others and most of all to love and fear God. It is within sight of this lake where she will rest. Grace finished her time on earth at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN, near her daughter. She is survived by her brother James Goldsmith, son Timothy (Lauri) Thompson; son Randall Thompson; daughter-in-law Janet Thompson; son Bryan (Jan) Thompson; son Roger (Connie) Thompson; son Alan Thompson; daughter Lori (Jeff) Kenney; 15 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 am at Spencer Lake Christian Center in the Retreat Center with visitation one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Spencer Lake Memorial Park directly following the service. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
