Harold Alm's Obituary
Harold Alm, age 92, of Stevens Point, formerly of Amherst, passed away on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. He was born in Nelsonville, on May 11, 1917, a son of the late Hemmie and Olive (Henjum) Alm. Harold married Irene E. Maves on May 18, 1939 in Amherst. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2009. He was a member of Nelsonville Lutheran Church. Survivors include his Children: Lynda (Robert) Helmrick, Hazelhurst, WI; Dona (Duane) Fisher, Stevens Point, WI; Harlan (Mary Jo) Alm, Amherst, WI; Rena (Mike) Drummond, Wittenberg, WI; 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Peggy Baumann, 3 brothers, Myron, Welton and Charles, and 2 sisters, Ruth Onan and June Alm. Funeral Services will be held at Nelsonville Lutheran Church, Nelsonville at 11 AM on Monday, December 28th, 2009, with Reverend Jonathan Sachs, officiating. Interment will be in the Nelsonville Lutheran Cemetery, Town New Hope, Portage Co., WI. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church.
