Harold L. Floistad Sr.'s Obituary
Harold Laverne Floistad Sr, age 88, of Amherst Junction passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. He was born August 18, 1935 in Amherst, WI to the late Clifford and Gladys (Barden) Floistad. On August 4, 1962, he married Lenore Kuhrt in Tucson, Arizona. Harold served in the National Guard and the United States Army. He worked various jobs including the creamery, box factory, H.O. Wolding, and 32 years at the Waupaca Foundry. He was also a volunteer firefighter and first responder.
Harold loved farming, playing cards, hunting, tractors, ice racing, volunteering at the Jensen Center, socializing, and collecting Green Bay Packer memorabilia. He was a Packer, Brewers, Bucks and Badger Fan.
Harold is survived by his children Tracy (Wendy) Floistad, John Floistad, Connie (Harry) Dahms, Karen (Pat) Vogel, Sarah Rustad, and daughter-in-law Sherri Floistad. Grandchildren Jeremy, Shane, Kyle, Dan, Melissa, Andrew, Dylan, Amber, Christopher, Kuhrtis, Meranda. Many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Extended family includes brothers-in-law Donald Kuhrt and Charles (Carla) Kuhrt.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Gerald, sisters Sandra and LouAnn (Carl) Sather, son Harold Jr, daughter Roxanne, son-in-law LeRoy Rustad, grandsons Brandon Floistad and Ryan Dahms. Extended family, father and mother-in-law Robert and Gertrude (Corrigan) Kuhrt.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 12 P.M. at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Pastor Dwight Anderson will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 12 P.M.
