Harold O. Hansen Sr.'s Obituary
Harold Oliver Hansen Sr. of Wild Rose, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. Harold was found August 14, 1940 by a Chicago police officer named Mike at the Union Train Station in Chicago. He was taken to St. Vincent and later adopted on August 16, 1940 by Oliver and Edna (Haas) Hansen. He started his schooling in Highland Park (2 years) and finished it in District 158 in Huntley. He graduated in 1958.
Harold worked for Kalsow Drugs, Punden IGA, Geo’s D-X, Parkside Tap, and Hansen Heating and Plumbing
He became owner with his wife of 58 years, Judith (Kalsow), also owners of JH Mini Storage, Hansen Tree Farm and J & H Holdings (retiring to Wisconsin).
He was on the Village of Huntley Planning Committee, Huntley Fire Department, Huntley Lions, Huntley Penguins Snowmobile Club (Co-Founder). He was a member of the Quad County Plumbing and Heating association and member of Huntley and Menengo Chambers.
He married Judith (Kalsow) on May 9, 1964. Harold had one adopted brother, Warren (Judy) Hansen. Harold is survived by his son, Harold (Tammy) Hansen of Wild Rose, daughter Janet (Randy) Sharbuno of Goodyear, Arizona and four grandkids, Jake, Andy, Karla, and Alex.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife Judith, his parents Oliver and Edna Hansen, his brother Warren, his sister-in-law, Ruthann, and his brother-in-law, Larry.
Any memorial contributions can be made in his name to Saxeville Fire Department and First Responders. As per Harold’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
