HARRY M. POWALISH
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN
Age 88, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Heartland House in Wautoma, WI. He was born September 22, 1926 in Stevens Point, WI; son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Kontny) Powalish. Harry served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1950, and then was active in the National Guard for six years. On October 7, 1950, he married Anne M. Prengel at St. Hyacinth Church in Chicago, IL. Together they shared 64 years of marriage before her passing on October 29, 2014. Harry worked for International Harvester Research Center for 30 years and was able to retire at the ripe old age of 52. After retirement, Harry and Anne moved to Wild Rose where they have resided for the past 36 years. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, and gardening. Harry will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and many friends.

David (Susan) Powalish of Grafton, WI
Glen (Linda) Powalish of St. Charles, IL
Nine Grandchildren: Michael, Christie (Karl), Mark (Amy), Holly (Michael), Tom (Breanne), Robert (fiancée, Kristy), Greg, Eric, and Jake
Six Great-Grandchildren: Vivienne, Jackson, Scarlett, Ella, Nathan, and Audrey
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Powalish, and his wife, Anne Powalish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wautoma, WI. Father David Greskowiak will preside. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial with full military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wautoma following the mass on Tuesday. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
