Heather K. Nooyen's Obituary
Heather K. Nooyen, age 40 of Amherst, WI, died suddenly on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Thedacare Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on May 4, 1980 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, daughter of Ricky Miller and Katheryn (Destree) Kollross.
On September 30, 2006, she married Tyler Nooyen at St. Norbert in De Pere, WI.
Heather graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI and was an Internal Auditor for Sentry Insurance Company in Stevens Point, WI. Her greatest joy was going to her daughter’s games and snowmobile races. She was also a coach for the Amherst Volleyball Team. Heather is going to be greatly missed by her entire family.
Heather is survived by her husband, Tyler; two daughters, Samantha and Jacqueline; mother and step father, Katheryn (Christopher) Kollross of New Franken, WI; father, Ricky Miller of Brussels, WI; maternal grandmother, Joyce Destree of Luxemburg, WI; brother, Aaron (Charity Menning) Miller of Green Bay, WI; step-sister, Heather (Josh) Kolodziej of Krakow, WI; parents-in-law, Robert (Kathleen) Nooyen of New Franken, WI; sister-in-law, Jodi (Robin) Lester of Jersey City, NJ; two nieces and six nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Arnold Destree; paternal grandparents, Harvey and LuVergn Miller; sister-in-law, Julie Nooyen; and step-mother, Sandra Miller.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Andy Behrendt will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, WI.
Trinity Lutheran Church wants to remind the public that no more than 100 people will be allowed in the church at one time with the wearing of masks and physical distancing observed.
