Helen M. Olson's Obituary
In memory of our loving Mother: Helen M. Olson, age 80, of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, May 29th, 2008 at Weyauwega Health Care Center. Mrs. Olson was born in Mt. Carroll, Illinois on August 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Hattie Mae (Law) Edwards. On Dec 31, 1949, she married Gordon J. Olson in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1994. Helen was a member of Farmington Lutheran Church. She was a Beautician out of her home for many years. Following retirement worked at Green Fountain Inn in Waupaca. Helen enjoyed working in her flower garden, feeding wild birds and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by Daughter: Cheryl (Todd) Knutson, Waupun; Sons: Gerald (Judi) Olson, Waupaca; Michael (Mary) Olson, Scandinavia, WI.; Grandchildren: Jeremiah (Kathy) Olson, Neenah; Matthew (Samantha) Olson, Waupaca; Heather (Dennis) Larson, Cambridge; Katie Knutson, Milwaukee; Msgt Mike (Janis) Zarter, Colorado Springs, CO; Maggie Zarter, Appleton; Jocelyn (Bob) Aho, Neenah; Brandon (Sara) Wittman, Kaukauna; Kristin (Aaron) Olson Waupaca. Great Grandchildren: Hannah Larson, Sean Zarter, Cassie & Wesley Aho, Haylie & Reed Wittman, Sophia Hausmann & Noah Olson. Brothers: Freeman (Jannette) Edwards, Illinois; Marvin (Sharon) Edwards, Illinois; Sisters: Dorothy (Arthur) Buckman, Illinois; Joyce Morhart, Illinois, Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Two Brothers and Two Sisters and One Great Grandson: Owen Olson Funeral Service will be held at Farmington Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 2nd, with Reverend Mark E. Sabin officiating. Interment will be in the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery in the Town Farmington, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Sunday 3-6 P.M. at Holly Funeral Home-Waupaca.
