Helen Parker's Obituary
Helen R. Parker, age 84, of Amherst, WI., passed away on Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 at Iola Living Assistance in Iola. She was born in Amherst on June 29, 1922, a daughter of the late Alf and Clara (Severson) Johnson. Helen was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst. She married Leonard Parker on August 24, 1946 in Milwaukee. Survivors include a Daughter: Claire (Charles) Nordness, Iola; 2 Sons: William (Cindy) Parker, Amherst; Thomas (Peggy) Parker, Mosinee; 7 Grandchildren: Daniel Parker, Warren, MI; Kenneth (Kari) Parker, Winneconne; Rebecca Quick, Stevens Point; Jonathan Parker, Mosinee; Brandi Parker, Minneapolis, MN; Brooke Parker, Waupaca; Bethany Parker, Amherst. Great Grandchildren: Brayden Quick, Stevens Point; Brenton Parker, Waupaca; Donald Parker, Winneconne. Nephews and niece: Gordon (Mo) Gunderson, West Allis; Mike (Barb) Streff, Cincinnati, OH; Sandy (Chris) Matey, Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Ardella Gunderson and Florence Streff. Funeral Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 11 AM, with Reverend Dwight Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Amherst. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 until 8 PM at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
