HERBERT C. HALLASKA
KING, WISCONSIN Herbert Charles Hallaska, only son of the late Charles and Rose (Simon) Hallaska, died on Saturday, August 25th at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin. Herb was an Airman First Class during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Lauretta (Chard) and Trudy (Miech) and his brother-in-law Robert Chard. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Richard D. Miech of Plano, IL; nieces and nephews: Richard M. (Kathleen) Miech of Richmond, VA; Michael A. Miech of Loveland, CO; Marguerite A. (Gene) Coppes of Earlville, IL; Daniel L. (Peggy) Miech of Plano, IL; David E. (Jodie) Miech of Naperville, IL; Denise M. (Joel) Stumpenhorst of Somonauk, IL; Marie E. (Lynn) Smith of Sheridan, IL and Thomas E. Chard of Wauwatosa, WI, as well as several cousins and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. The funeral for Herb, affectionately known as “Herbie” by the staff at King, took place on Wednesday, August 29th at the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. Burial occurred at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King following the funeral on Wednesday. The Reverend Mr. Richard M. Miech, his nephew and godson, officiated. Any memorials to Herb should be directed to the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King in his name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements. HOLLY FUNERAL HOME
