Inez Tennermann's Obituary
Inez Werth Zehren Tennermann Inez Tennermann, formerly of Ogdensburg, WI, age 86, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008 in Cincinnati, OH following a brief illness. Inez is survived by her three children; Gregory (Mary) Tennermann of Athens, NY, James Tennermann of Rimrock, AZ, and Penny (Ken Wichman) Tennermann of Cincinnati, OH, three grandchildren; Tim (Kim) Tennermann – USAF, Megan Tennermann of Goshen, NY, and Emily Wichman of Milford, OH. She is also survived by her sister; Ruth McCandless of Appleton, WI, and sisters-in-law; Margaret Werth of Clintonville, WI and Muriel Tennermann of Ridgeland, WI. Inez was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Zehren, a causality of WWII in 1944, her parents Gertrude (Southard) and Lewis Werth, her brother; Ward Werth, and in 2005 by her husband of 58 years, Arnold (Red)Tennermann. Inez was born in Clintonville on February 27, 1922. She graduated from high school in Appleton in 1940. In 1944 she earned a teaching degree from what is now the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. The following fall she began what was to be a long career as a kindergarten teacher and a life-long fondness of children. Over the years she would teach in Florence, West Bend, Chilton, Appleton, and Kimberly. In 1947 Inez married Arnold Tennermann and they raised their family in Appleton and Kimberly. After retirement they moved to Ogdensburg where they enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and deer that shared their woods. In addition to her love of teaching, Inez enjoyed gardening, travel, painting, crafting, and serving her church through sewing and knitting for Christian charities. She also enjoyed singing in the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Nate Liedtke, officiating. A brief visitation will be held prior to the funeral at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville, WI. The family requests donations to the church or to Bethany Home of Waupaca in lieu of flowers. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
