INGA J. GROVE
IOLA, WI (FORMERLY OF SHERIDAN, WI) Age 96 – died on Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI. She was born on August 15, 1909 in the Twp. of Iola, Waupaca County, WI, a daughter of the late Harris and Hattie (Bucholtz) Helgeson. She married Walter E. Grove on May 14, 1932 in the Township of Iola, Waupaca Co., WI. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1974. Inga is survived by two sons: Stanley (Carole) Grove of Sussex, WI, and Marshall (Karen) Grove of Ogdensburg, WI, a son-in-law: Joseph Mack of Waukesha, WI, eight grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and three sisters: Bertha Jenson of Waupaca, WI, Edna Tschurwald of Iola, WI, and Phyllis (Lloyd) Solberg of West Allis, WI. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends. Inga was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, her daughter, Jeanette Mack, five sisters: Edith, Ruby, Vernice, Gladys, and Hazel, and three brothers: Charles, Alvin, and Eugene. Inga had been an active member of the Farmington Lutheran Church, serving as the president of the Ladies Aide for many years. She had been a waitress at Simpson’s Restaurant in Waupaca for 27 years. She and Walter had entertained friends at Town Hall dances throughout the area for many years. She also enjoyed quilting, and visiting with family and friends. A funeral service was held at the Farmington Lutheran Church of Waupaca on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Mark Sabin, officiating. Interment was in the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Farmington Lutheran Church in the name of Inga J. Grove. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
