Irene Alm's Obituary
Irene Alm, age 91, of Stevens Point, passed away on Thursday, November 12th, 2009 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. She was born in Amherst, on July 12, 1918, a daughter of the late Otto and Wilhelmina (Lutz) Maves. Irene married Harold Alm on May 18, 1939 in Amherst. He survives. She was a member of Nelsonville Lutheran Church. Survivors include her Husband: Harold Alm, Stevens Point, WI; Children: Lynda (Robert) Helmrick, Hazelhurst, WI; Dona (Duane) Fisher, Stevens Point, WI; Harlan (Mary Jo) Alm, Amherst, WI; Rena (Mike) Drummond, Wittenberg, WI; Brother: Carl Maves, Amherst, WI. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Peggy Bauman, and two brothers, Lloyd and Otto Maves. Funeral Services will be held at Nelsonville Lutheran Church, Nelsonville at 11 AM on Monday, November 16th, 2009, with Reverend Jonathan Sachs officiating. Interment will be in the Nelsonville Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
