Irene V. Betro's Obituary
Irene V. Betro age 90 of Amherst, passed away on Monday April 16, 2018. Irene was born on July 27, 1927, the daughter of Dennis and Regina (Anderson) Kenowski. Irene married the late Lawrence Betro on November 17, 1957. Irene and Lawrence ran the Smokey Spur for 28 years. In 2005 she retired from Anthony Farms in Scandinavia, WI.
Irene is survived by her two sons James (Donna) Betro of Amherst, WI and Paul (Tamera) Kenowski of Stevens Point, WI; three grandchildren Kimberly (Neal) Borgen, Andrea (Mike) Kulick and Amber (Nate) Bronson; seven great grandchildren James and Katie Borgen, Emma, Charlie and Sam Kulick, Augie and Azaria Bronson; one brother Ron (Diane) Kenowski; one sister Joanne (Ken) Zimmerman; one daughter-in-law Betty Betro, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Regina Kenowski; her husband Lawrence Betro; one brother Don; two sisters Delores and Phyllis and a niece Mary Ann Ansley.
A memorial service will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will officiate. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday April 20, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst, WI. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Fancher Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank Karen Trzebiatowski and the staff at The Lodge at Whispering Pines for taking such good care of mom the past 3 years.
