Age 92 - passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at her residence. She was born on June 10, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Charles and Victoria (Mageria) Pack. She married George L. Poteracki on June 7, 1941 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on May 24, 2008.
Irene is survived by two daughters: Georgia Bleile of McHenry, IL, and Cynthia Duell of Appleton, two sons: Dennis (Tanina) Poteracki of Franklin, and James (Cindy) Poteracki of Lake Zurich, IL, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two sisters: Janet Holatz of Arlington Heights, IL, and Dolly (Duane) Lind of Waupaca. She is further survived by nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her husband: George, her parents, and three sisters: Millie, Lorrayne, and Violet.
Irene had been a homemaker and taking care of her family was her passion.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI, with Father Amalraj Roche, officiating. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Ling, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
