Irene Whitney's Obituary
Irene E. Whitney, age 92, of Wild Rose, formerly of Saxeville, passed away on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 at Rosemor Village in Wild Rose. Irene was born in Saxeville, WI. on October 5, 1913, a daughter of the late James and Gertrude Elizabeth (Peterson) Peterson. She married Ward R. Whitney on June 5, 1937 in Wild Rose. Irene was a member of Saxeville Baptist Church. Survivors include her Husband: Ward Whitney, Wild Rose, WI; a Daughter: Janice (Jack) Richards, Wautoma, WI; 2 Granddaughters: Karen (Don) Gates, Bartlett, IL; Kathleen (Giancarlo) Battalini, Gainesville, GA; 3 Grandsons: Gary (Belinda) Dassow II, Saxeville, WI; Jamie (Tammy) Dassow, Muskegon, MI; Michael Dassow, Milwaukee, WI; 8 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Granchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter - Barbara Sellers and her brother - Glen Peterson. Memorial Services will be held at Saxeville Baptist Church in Saxeville at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 26th, with Rev. George Waddell & Rev. Joe Gaunt, officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Saxeville Union Cemetery. Following the services, a fellowship gathering for friends and family will be held at the church.
