Irma Paulson's Obituary
Irma L. Paulson, age 94, of Waupaca, died Monday, April 4th, 2005 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born in Iola, WI. on October 28, 1910, a daughter of the late George and Clara (Johnson) Adams. On September 9, 1933, Irma married Norman E. Nelsen in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1954. She then married Russell J. Paulson on June 23, 1976 in Scandinavia. He died on June 29, 1993 in Waupaca. Irma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, where she sang in the church choir for more than 30 years. She was also custodian at Trinity Lutheran Church for over 13 years and ultimately retired from the housekeeping department at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in 1976. She is survived by a Daughter: Mary (Merrold) Prahl, Waupaca, WI.; a Grandson: Mark Prahl, Fairfax, VA.; a Great Granddaughter: Alexandra Prahl, Fairfax, VA.; a Step-Daughter: Rosalie (David) Nottleson, Scandinavia, WI.; Step-Grandchildren: Dr. Steve (Dorothy) Nottleson, Green Bay, WI.; Lana (Willy) Giacalone, Waupaca, WI.; Step-Great Grandchildren: Joseph & Jessica Giacalone, Waupaca, WI.; Sisters-in-law: Anita Nelson, Waupaca, WI.; Altheda Adams, Scandinavia, WI.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death three sisters: Evelyn Kriwaldt, Elsie Brekke, May Viola Adams; four brothers: Walter, Raymond, Melvin and John Adams. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 9th, with Reverend Dr. Charles L. Tews officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the church. A memorial has been established in Irma's name. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
